Alan Moore
Alan Moore is one of the most well respected and admired writers in the comic book field today. Among his many projects, Moore is perhaps best known for the groundbreaking Watchmen series,Miracleman, Swamp Thing, V For Vendetta and Batman: The Killing Joke.
But before he found US fame and fortune, his UK output was similarly prolific. For 2000 AD he did D.R & Quinch, The Ballad of Halo Jones and Skizz, and for Marvel UK Doctor Who and Captain Britain.
He is currently working on his own ABC line of comics, including Promethea, Tom Strong, Top Ten and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Ian Gibson
Ian Gibson, AKA Emberton, Q Twerk, has been one of 2000 AD's mainstay artists almost from the very beginning.
His work in 2000ad includes such noteable titles as Robo-Hunter, Judge Dredd and, most memorably, The Ballad of Halo Jones.
Via Dark Horse's Star Wars comics, Gibson has also made a few forays into the US markets, drawing the likes of Droids and Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire.
